this week is an exceptionally busy week for me
thanks to the sec 1 orientation
i didnt get enough sleep these days
the past 4 days actually
okay
spent thursday constructing the sec 1 orientation cca booth
we were under the rain for some friggin 8 hours just to complete the booth in time for the next day
it was raining very long that day
those in scouts who went to the hongkong trip were already back on thursday night
we didnt have time to go fetch them as we spent the night completing the booth till about midnight i think
and
not to forget we still had to build a gateway cum bridge for the campfire on fri night
the next day was the sec 1 orientation
the j1 and j2 batches all took time to come back and help out
including the girl ventures who we thought were lost in action already
lol
anw this year's sec 1s still had the number of girls dominating the number of guys
again
our performance really sucked this year
there were quite a number of mistakes
seriously its was like crap
anyone would have thought the same too
most cca's sticked to the same usual performances
well no comments on this year's
after lunch we began on the campfire structure
it was actually quite a tall and grand structure
because of the time constrains we were forced to simplify it until it looks like crap to me
but lucky it kind of turned out okay
no lashes slipped ; quite safe
well basically the structure was just a suspension bridge platform in the middle
took us a a good 6 hours to complete
we could have started on the gateway a few days before
but parent's cars were obstructing access to the parade square
had to wait a few dreadful hours before the parade square cleared to allow us space
the campfire was so-so
and the sec 1s are lifeless
nth to say about it
went to 85 every midnight to have dinner
yes dinner
and that was the sec 1 orientation
but not for us
we had to come back the next morning at 8 to take down the gateway
only me junliang and a sec 2 junior came to help
yes 1 junior only
when both sec 1 and sec 2s were told to come
then zhan yi came at 10 plus while shawn came at 12.30
sc offered to help us move the poles from the structure to the area outside the dnt block
grateful to them for saving us alot of time
about 40 sec 2 and sec 1 councillors helped move 95 long poles there
many thanks to their time and effort
or we could have took days to move them back
took cab home at midnight for 3 nights in a row as there were no more public transport
incredible
well that was all that happened
just an hour to go to 2007
happy new year in advance everyone
this is going to be a very busy year
